At the age of 19, I emerged from the shadows of my own suffering and became a certified personal trainer, eager to extend a helping hand to others battling similar pain. Throughout 14,000 training sessions, I witnessed a recurring revelation – the power of heel elevation in transforming the squatting experience. Clients raved about how their lower backs felt amazing, while all the soreness concentrated in their legs. If only I had known this secret during my own trials, I could have spared myself years of agony.

Fast forward to 2019, where I found myself carving down the powdery slopes of Japan on my snowboard. An opportunity for a daring jump presented itself, and my adrenaline-fueled self couldn't resist.
Little did I know, I'd end up crashing to my knees, feeling a searing pain in my left joint. This pain persisted long after I returned to sunny Los Angeles, making it impossible for me to do something as simple as running.
